The Tinicum Township Fire Company would like to welcome you to our fire company training page. Our training nights are held every Monday night, at 7:00 pm with the exception of holidays and any other events that may occur. We conduct training at our station, in the neighborhood, as well as the Delaware County Emergency Services Training Center .We conduct a variety of certification drills every year as well as train with neighboring mutual aid departments and periodically train with the Philadelphia Airport Fire Department and Boeing Fire Department. We also work with other companies and utilize any training facilities which are made available to us.
As we have been doing for the past couple years a quarterly schedule will continue to be posted for all members to see what is planned for our fire company training sessions. This schedule will be posted on the training bulletin board and on this training page. Any member with an idea or suggestion on a training topic is encouraged to please contact Asst. Chief Tommy Byrne, Captain William Righter and/or Lieutenant Josh Powley.
We would like all new members as well as our senior members to please try and attend as many drills as possible. Certain training is mandatory and must be completed to meet NFPA, OSHA and/or Tinicum Township Fire Company Standards. Whether you are learning something new or just refreshing on topics you may already have knowledge of, training is a vital role to our organization. |
