Thursday, July 30, 2015

Crews spent the rest of the day handling multiple EMS emergencies throughout the local and mutual aid areas as well. Later on that evening just after 2300 hrs company 48 was dispatched for another car fire at the intersection of Scott Way and S. Governor Printz Blvd. PD arrived on location and reported a passenger vehicle well involved. Crews once again initiated another swift and aggressive attack and made another quick knock on the fire. Car Carrier Fire & MVA w/ Entrapment
Thursday, April 2, 2015
On April 2nd the fire company was sent to I-95 at the Wanamaker Ave on ramp for a car carrier reported to be on fire. Upon arrival of 48-9B and Engine 48-1, units found the rear cab of the truck as well as one vehicle fully involved. Crews stretched and 1" 3/4 hand line and command requested two additional engines (Ridley Park and Prospect Park) to assist with water supply. The fire eventually extended to one additional vehicle prior to being placed under control. While assisting the police with traffic control and mopping up from the fire, crews witnessed an accident on the southbound side of Interstate 95.
