2014 Comes to a Close

This past year the Tinicum Township Fire Company responded to 468 fire emergencies and 2110 EMS emergencies.

This has been another very busy year for the company and we want to thank all of our members who have given their time to respond to emergencies, train, and night staffing. The volunteers have also been responsible for company events, stand-by assignments, and keeping up with station maintenance. These members recieve no pay and spend many long hours to make sure that they are providing an excellent and professional service to the general public of which they serve. We truly thank you for all of your countless hours and sacrifice, without the volunteer members giving their time we would not have an organization. The volunteers have also been given some extra help this year with the 8 new full time career staff members and 6 part time staff members. This is to ensure that there will be confirmed staffing for both fire and EMS emergencies throughout the township and our mutual aid districts that we serve. Another big thanks goes out to our administrative members for keeping our organization together and making things run smoothly. We truly do not get to see what these folks do behind the scenes such as orginizing finances, planning events, making sure apparatus is fixed when needed, and making sure we have a great organization. We truly extend another sincere thank you to these folks who continue to work diligently and keep operations going!

Tinicum Township Fire Company would also like to take this time to wish everyone a safe and Happy New Year’s. We are looking forward to another great year in 2015, see you all next year!
