Friday, January 8, 2010 - On Sunday January 3rd, the box was struck for a building fire on the 800 block of 10th Avenue in Prospect Park. Chief 08-9 arrived to find a working fire on the 3rd floor of a single Victorian style structure. Snozzle 8 dropped a 5 in from 10th and Lincoln and laid in to the scene. 08-9 called for the 1 3/4 and the boys from Snozzle 8 stretched and advanced up the three flights to find a room and contents involved. The attack crew made short work of the hot and smoky blaze and immediately began to open up and ventilate. The crew from Engine 48 assisted with laddering the building and conducted salvage and overhaul. An outstanding job was conducted by all units on scene.
