The Tinicum Township Firefighters continue to make training its top priority. On Monday February 8th, Engine 48-1 and 48-2 along with both utilities went to the training center to conduct joint training with the Vauclain Fire Company. Crews went over vertical ventilation via flat and peeked roofs as well as search and rescue techniques. Crew utilized various strategies and tactics including TIC procedures and multiple other rescue techniques. All participants did an outstanding job.

February 15th, crews conducted training in the station on hose line advancement and structural firefighting techniques. Crew stretched multiple hand lines, leader lines and trained on the new high rise packs. Another outstanding job to the firefighters who attended the evenings training. Station 48 has been averaging 18 to 20 firefighters per drill. Keep up the “strong work”.
